Hey, I’m Elizabeth.
I’m 25 years old born and raised in The Natural State, new to “adulting” and to blogging. I am currently employed at Dillard’s Corporate Headquarters as a Business Analyst in beautiful downtown Little Rock. Graduating in December 2016 from the University of Central Arkansas with a degree in Management Information Systems, I’ve been at Dillard’s since January 2017 where I started my professional journey interning as an Information Security Analyst. My love for computers started at a young age. I have worked with COBOL systems the past couple of years, but am fascinated with web design languages such as HTML and CSS. It would be ah-mazing to build my website from the ground up someday, but for now I am comfortable focusing on analytics.
I started blogging in early 2017, around the same time I started working corporate. Having no background in writing, sense of direction, or targeted audience I began simply writing from the heart to whoever the hell wanted to listen. Since then, I’ve began learning all kinds of new things about myself. Besides computers, I have a number of other hobbies and interests. Starting out as a dancer, my love for the performing arts has transitioned through years past. Today, I consider myself a flow artist. In my free time, I love to play with hoops and occasionally get tangled up in silks at the Arkansas Circus Arts. Circus freak/flow artist- eh, I prefer both! I frequently post my journey as a flow artist to my Instagram so make sure to follow along. Disclaimer: I am a beginner.
I’m a bit of a caffeine snob. I drink mostly black tea or matcha during the week but love familiarizing myself with all different types and their health benefits. On the weekends however, I indulge in coffee. Little Rock has a number of local coffee shops that I adore. I frequently visit River City Coffee in Hillcrest or Nexus Coffee & Creative downtown. Let’s schedule a coffee date!
Exploration is the anti-drug and I fantasize about traveling all the time. Countries I’ve been to include: Scotland, the UK, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas, but I’m itching to explore more. As mentioned above, I’m currently held down by my corporate job but I have allllll the means to make travel plans later! I currently don’t have any future destinations in the works but I am always researching the greatest travel spots. I’d love it if you shared your story from any far-off place.
Short-term plans? To pay my bills and maintain this site are just a couple! I’m a make-it-up-as-you-go kind of gal. An ‘ESFP’ if you will. I’m currently on the hunt for my niche in the real-world and aspire to become a lifestyle extraordinaire who can inspire others to do the same. I made Miss Rock City to make it my platform for exactly that. I love making friends! I’m willing to share my story with anyone to create life-long relationships. For inquiries, my email is under Contact. Feel free to keep up with me via Instagram, Twitter, or other social media! Say hi! Don’t be a stranger! Tell me a joke! Links are on the home page.
Thanks for visiting! I hope you enjoy my site ❤
-Elizabeth, your Miss Rock City
