Hellllllloooooo, & happy Wednesday! <3

I’m feeling charitable and I have the perfect hump day recipe I would like to share with you to subdue my mood. My morning started like it usually does: alarm went off at 5:35, took a quick shower, dressed, put on my makeup, and packed my lunch.  By this time I’d be out the door to avoid the ante-meridian rush hour but I noticed I had a few minutes before I absolutely had to leave. Solution? COFFEE BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE!!!

My roommates probably hate me for using our loud, clunky blender before 7 in the morning, but I can’t control myself sometimes! This smoothie is my favorite on-the-go drink/meal for my on-the-go style mornings. There are different variations of this recipe all over the internet but this by far is my favorite because it is so easy to toss together. All of the ingredients are ingredients I already keep stocked in my kitchen so I’m free to make it whenever I need that extra umph before I’m out the door.

What more? I read somewhere that this smoothie is jam packed with a lot of good stuffs and it’s energizing too so there’s no need for me to go for the crappy coffee in my office. (That was not a stab at my work I promise!!!)

Coffee Breakfast Smoothie
4 ice cubes
3/4 c almond milk
1/4 c strong coffee
1 banana
1/4 c rolled oats
1 Tbs honey
1 Tbs almond butter

Blend all ingredients until smooth and enjoy on your morning commute.  Coffee: a liquid hug for your brain.
