Wellllllllll heyyyyy! How is everyone? I’m doing swell now that it’s Friday and my sister is coming to town for the weekend!!! Coincidentally, my boyfriend is leaving town today for a cruise going out of NOLA so I get the whole place all to myself this week! It should be great practice for living alone! But wait… what the actual heck am I supposed to do for a week?!

I’m feeling a staycation but there’s no such thing as a Spring Break in the adult world so I have to like… think of something creative? What?! What I should do is break away from my routine and plan something totally relaxing for each night because we all know how easy it is to forget to slow down and #treatyoself to a little TLC. This Sunday, I’m planning five straight days of quality self-care and I’ll be posting about it next Friday. I’ll show you that you actually can make great use out of excess free time and practice self-care essentials. So look out for that next Friday on the blog!

Let’s see, this week seemed to have flown by. Last Saturday, I got my nails done with some girlfriends and got my cartilage pierced on a whim! It was awesome. Tuesday, I got to see my best friend who’s home for Spring Break this week. She lives in Texas and goes to UTA. That was good for the soul! Last night, I took my boyfriend out to dinner for burgers and drinks (see above) and to say “bon voyage.” Tonight, I’m going to the Arkansas Circus Art’s grand re-opening party from 5 to whenever while I wait on the sis to arrive. And later, we’re grabbing drinks!

*catches breath*

Seems I’ve stayed pretty busy this week which I love and everything, but next week should be a stark contrast. I hope everyone has a warm weekend full of Irish Car Bombs and potatoes! I’m part-Irish so I know my sister and I will be having a ball on Saturday. Anyway, here are the links:

Pinned this list a while back and I’ll probably kill a few things on it while I’ve got all this me-time. But I know everyone deals with those really “off” days sometimes, but what always helps me overcome them is staying busy and occupying myself with either something creative or something really relaxing. So check out my self-care board here for more ways to love on yourself some.

Well, I wasn’t a clutch person until now…

So glad white is in this spring so I don’t have to wait for the summer. I’m going all WHITE err’thing with these adorable loafers!

Okay, I’m just gushing with heart eyes for this.

I’m going to the Beale Street Music Festival this MAY and thinking about buying this to collect video footage of the festival but am sooo unsure! What do you guys think? Useful or nah? Can I find it cheaper somewhere else?

So if you aren’t listening to Ted Talks, then I don’t know what you are doing with your life. I really don’t. This one in particular has sparked a fancy with me this past week. Amy Cuddy is amazing! My sweet father recommended this to me a while ago and I just now got around to listening to it. He knows I struggle with finding my place in my current job. You’ve probably heard the phrase “fake it till you make it.” Well, Amy takes it up a notch. Fake it till you BECOME it!

Oh my, I’m feeling like stocking up on sunnies soon. More specifically these, but I’m also seeing a lot of styles like these. So I’m just like NBD, I’ll just blow my money to be trendy. It’s fine.

Still prepping for spring in these fantastic, pink work pants! They’re on sale!

Can’t for the life of me decide which color of these sneakers to get! Um, I’ll take them all…

xoxo EH
