Happy Friday!!

How was everybody’s week? Getting back into the swing of things proves difficult especially if you are getting back from New York City. Man oh man– I miss it already. I have written pieces of the recap every single day this week because I am so eager to publish it. I’m hoping to get it out by Monday. So there’s something you can look forward to next week! I’m certainly surprised by all the energy I’ve had lately for blogging. If only I could use some of that energy for cleaning. The apartment is a wreck.

This week was fun, fun, fun. I did a few things. Finished a couple of books. Sunday I spent the afternoon at our complex’s pool for the first time in 2018. Guess you could say summer has officially commenced?! This heat sure ain’t holding back for no one! Monday night, I met up with two friends for the Arkansas Travelers game. God bless those ballpark BBQ nachos. There’s only two things that justify a loss and that’s: beer and those nachos. Then Wednesday, double-dated with Matthew’s parents and damn, they’re way more fun than we are! If you live in Central Arkansas, you have to go see improv comedy night at The Joint Coffeehouse in Argenta of downtown North Little Rock. Beforehand, we grabbed dinner at Poke Hula downtown and drinks at Zin Urban Wine & Beer Bar. The place looked super chic for the downtown area. As we were walking back to the car, we happened to pass it and I mentioned how cute it looked (seriously, not thinking that they would be up for stopping in just on a whim like that). We ordered a round. Finally last night, I met up with coworkers at the Flying Saucer (FS is like our go-to bar) after work to sort of UN-officially celebrate our graduation from the IT training program at Dillard’s. Our official graduation should be within the next month.

THEN OMG… I saw Incredibles 2! And yes, pre-ordered tickets which is so unlike me. I’m not even that big of a movie-goer but The Incredibles is my favorite Disney & Pixar movie and it’s been 14 long years waiting! It’s incredible. GO SEE IT THIS WEEKEND!

I have zero plans for the weekend besides The East Village Street Food Jam tomorrow and finding something to do with my dad for Father’s Day on Sunday. Oh PSA: don’t forget your fathers this weekend! I can hardly believe we’re halfway through June already. 2018 is just flying by.

What I’ve been looking at this week (and there are so many sales- BTW!):

Attention all Little Rockers and local bakers: I did not include this in the events for June because I just found out about it on Tuesday but you can Master the Art of Making Macarons on June 27th or June 30th for only $50. I’m already signed up.

THE perfect beach shorts.

What’s meant to be yours, will be, regardless of time. This article had to have appeared to me at the most relevant time. Balancing a full-time office job and a side-hustle which I am currently doing is exhausting and overwhelming. But I love both my job and my blog, and I see myself holding down both for a long time. Choosing one path isn’t in the stars right now- and it totally doesn’t have to be.

One of the things on my bucket list is eating vegan for a complete week. Sounds hard, right? Until I got this article in my email recently. Trying out the recipes immediately!

I can’t believe my eyes. This blazer that I linked awhile back is 40% off right now!

This straw handbag is also divine for the season! Also marked-down!

Happy Pride month, everybody. I’m adoring the Love First line from J. Crew… They’re donating 50% of purchases to the Human Rights Campaign. J. Crew, you’re doing great sweetie!

You are somebody- NOT just some body.

Current show obsessions: beaded slides, gingham slides, two-tone braided, and yellow mules. Oh my!

Now go enjoy your weekend!
